A La Carte Tours specializes in small custom designed tours to many parts of the world and is based in Friendswood, Texas, a suburb of Houston. Normally, groups of twelve to twenty four travelers are accompanied by the owners Robert and Beverly Smith and depart from Houston. Those from other areas have the option of joining the group in Houston or at the tour's first destination. Travelers may provide their own air transportation or book through the companies group rate.
Travel insurance is available through the company at competitive rates.
A La Carte Tours has designed and completed trips to Austria, Germany' Rhineland, Switzerland, Alaska, the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Cruises from Galveston, Texas are a specialty on Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Princess Cruise Lines. A return trip to Switzerland is planned in September 2006.
